We've got lots to catch up on! I don't want to bore you to death and have this be super long, so I'm going to try to be short and not as descriptive!
Thursday after work, I went on the mouse hunt and I found the rest of them! However, the first one is at the Hyatt downtown, which is being redone, so he's the only one I cannot find! But when it gets relocated, I'll be sure to find it!
Not only did I have fun finding the rest of the mice, I also took lots of pictures with my Canon Rebel and got to see a beautiful sunset over Greenville! Just wait for the pictures!
I also found out that Greenville has an Italian "sister city," Bergamo, Italy. Knowing how much I love Italy, that excited me! Maybe one day I'll get to go visit the sister city! After seeing this, I had to go to try the pizza at Luna Rosa,
naturally! Luna Rosa is the Italian gelato place...the pizza was amazing! It had prosciutto, and grilled chicken on a pesto base. Of course, I also had to get some gelato. I had Baileys and I don't remember what the other flavor was, it was some weird name, but it was good.
Then Friday, I went home for the weekend because dad had his surgery, which he got a gold star for being a great patient from the nurse and recovering well and my cousin Michael Ann had a tea party wedding shower on Sunday! Driving back to Gainesville for the first time was a little emotional, it is a weird feeling, like yes, that's where I'm from, but for the first time it's not really my home if you will. Didn't think it would hit me like it did! But it's only 2 hours away, so I can handle that!
I hung out with dad Friday night and then went to dinner with Suzanne, Carolyn, Joyce, and Alli at Sidebar. We then did the usually Gainesville going out scene of Recess and then to Monkey Barrel. We had a lot of fun and it was great to see everybody. When Haley got finished babysitting it was late, but she came to hang out for a bit!
Saturday morning I had to go to Christopher's to get my bridesmaid's dress fitted for Michael Ann's wedding! We walked down to Dress Up after and I got to see my friend, Sweet Melissa,
see what I did there? and her beautiful engagement ring! Then got to eat at Sweet Magnolias, my favorite lunch place in Gainesville.
Saturday afternoon I spent some more time with dad and then went down to Atlanta to see Meredith! We watched the start of the Georgia game while getting ready, and then went to a friend's house to watch the end and then head out on the town with the group. We ended up running into so many people we knew that I hadn't seen in awhile, so that was exciting!
Sunday was Michael Ann's tea party, which was SO much fun!! My aunt Lynda Ann let me wear her awesome red hat! Lynda Ann hosted the party and did a great job! She looked like she had just walked out of Buckingham Palace for a tea! It was just perfect! Being the Maid of Honor, I got to write all of Michael Ann's presents down for her, I've always secretly wanted to do that! She got some really pretty things! I can't wait until her wedding day, she's going to be such a beautiful bride.
Sunday night I drove home and got my car unloaded and ready for bed, I was worn out from the eventful weekend!!
I wanted to blog Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at work during lunch like I have been, but it has been super hectic. Not sure if y'all know, but the GoDaddy servers were attacked by "Anonymous," and GoDaddy is our host server, so Monday we were down part of the day and it's been in and out the rest of the week! I feel like I've been unproductive this week because I will be in the middle of something and then it shuts down, so we can't...I think we all could've stayed until really late tonight playing catch up!
Monday when I got home I went to run with Colin and then hung out with Colin and Sarah on the porch for awhile. We always end up having a great time together!
Tuesday night, my roommate Sarah and I went to a Bible study with her friend Riley. It is an all girls Bible study that will meet weekly. I think I will really like it. We eat dinner and socialize and then have our lesson. I think it will be a great way to meet people and way to be involved, so I am really looking forward to it.
Wednesday and my Advocare was delivered to the office, so I guess this is nearing the end of my foody adventures...I'll probably get it started next Monday, I'd rather start at the beginning of the week rather than the middle of the week. So I guess I'll get a few good meals in over the weekend before going to "food jail!" haha
Wednesday night I met my fried Rachel from Dahlonega for dinner at The Blue Ridge Brewing Company, it was a really good restaurant that makes their own beer. I had a bar-b-q sandwich and the Hurricane Hefe Weizen. The company, atmosphere, and beer were great, all around just a good night!
Thursday was crazy at work again, but we are changing servers, so hopefully it will get better! After work I decided to go walk around downtown and check out the stores. I found this great new little boutique called The Traveling Chic Boutique. They had some really cute stuff, and some really nice girls working there. Best part about it, they give you a free koozie with purchase! I ended up getting two shirts that I think will be great for fall.
I also stumbled upon Poppington's Popcorn...all they have is popcorn, all sorts of crazy flavors, flavors you'd never even think of! So I had to sample some!
Now I'm sitting outside Starbuck's blogging thinking of all the things I need to do before the weekend..laundry...unload the dishwasher...oh the joys of everyday living!
