Happy Fall Y'all.

Well this last week was just a normal week. I'm really trying to be better about blogging, but being as we don't have wifi and I've been SLAMMED at work, it makes it really hard, so I apologize for how long they've been...I'm sure y'all are super bored by now!

This week has had fabulous weather and fall is finally in the air! Fall is my favorite season! Boots, sweatshirts, football, hayrides, pumpkins, fall leaves, cool crisp mornings, oh geez, I LOVE FALL!

Monday night, I cooked an awesome dinner! I'm doing Advocare now, so I'm having to be healthy! I made grilled chicken with onions, mushrooms, squash, and zucchini. It was yummy and lasted me about 4 days, so that was good!

Tuesday I finished moving into my new room. All my stuff looks great with the color, it's crazy how it all matched so well!

Wednesday, we had Bible study again, I really enjoyed it. The book we are doing is really good. It's called, When Wallflowers Dance by Angela Thomas. I enjoy the fellowship with new girls and meeting new people.

Thursday after work, I ran some errands, and went to return a dress at the mall and to find some new sheets at Bed Bath and Beyond. However, that store stresses me out because there is so much to choose from and it's always like 756,894 degrees in there. So my mother ever so sweetly bought me some and brought them to me on Saturday, she had a coupon so I don't feel too bad!

Friday, I was going to stay in Greenville, but felt a little trapped since I couldn't really go out and about with Advocare, and I didn't want to be tempted, so I packed up and went to Lake Burton for the night to stay with Mimi and Papaw. We had a fabulous dinner or pork tender loin, Asian pears, snap peas, yellow rice and peaches for dessert!

Saturday, my cousin Michael Ann had a couple's wedding shower! It was fun and good to see the whole family! She got some really great grilling and gardening items! The party was on Persimmon Mountain in Rabun County and the view was breathtaking. You could see the lake from the house.

Saturday night, I came back to Greenville, and met my friend Rachel at the Ale House for dinner and football! We watched the UGA blowout and the sad Clemson loss. We both love the atmosphere of Ale House, lots of people and sports, right up my alley! Then we met up with Sarah after the game.

Sunday for lunch, Ed and Randy were coming home from North Carolina. They had been at Austin Petty's wedding. They came by for lunch. We went to the Liberty Tap Room for brunch. It was so good! I had shrimp and grits! Might not have been the best and healthiest choice, but it was better than the french toast I would've gotten!!

Sunday for dinner, my friend Audrey was coming back from her brother's house in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, so she stopped by for dinner! It was great to catch up. We went to Smoke on the Water for some bar-b-q and good veggies! Then we walked to the park, that part is just for you Audrey. Can't wait to see you again at Gold Rush! :)

The week was just average, but the weekend was great! I got to see all my grandparents, Mimi and Papaw, Grandaddy and Alda, and Ed and Randy and great friends! I'm a happy and blessed girl!

Weekend Recap.

Happy Monday y'all!

Friday night  I went to Clemson to stay with my friend Kimberly, whose apartment I lived in for the week in Clemson. We went to Zeta Parent's Cocktail for her sorority. Her dad was out of town and she had signed up to bring two guests, so I went with she and her mom!

To start the night, she and her boyfriend William cooked us all dinner! Parmesan crusted chicken, broccoli, mashed potatoes, rolls, salad the whole works! It was so good, I was quite impressed. Then the girls got ready. Parent's Cocktail was at a place called The Lighthouse on Lake Keowee. It was a neat place! I really want to see it at sunset because I feel like it would be gorgeous over the lake.

After the cocktail, we went back to Kimberly's and set on her front porch and hung out with her boyfriend, her roommate and her boyfriend. They are all so nice! I woke up on Saturday morning to the smell of pancakes. I walked into the living room and was so sweetly greeted with, "Good morning, do you want some pancakes?" Kimberly was cooking chocolate chip pancakes! YUMM!! She's such a little cook! I can't wait to go back for game day.

Saturday when I got back to Greenville, I decided I would explore the store downtown. I didn't get anything, but they have some really cute stores. Then I went home and got ready for the Wofford football game! The Bowers were back in town and going to the Wofford game. Mr. Bower is a very active Wofford alumni, so he goes to most of the games.

I wanted to go to Wofford for college, but ended up at North Georgia, I think Porky didn't want me to be too far away! We tailgated and then watched the game from the end zone, which was really neat, so we didn't even have to go into the game! Wofford dominated Western Carolina! Go Terriers!!

Saturday night, when we got back, Caroline, Bryan, and I went to meet my roommate Sarah and her friend Melissa downtown. It was fun as usual.

Sunday, I slept in since I had a busy few days and then started cleaning the bigger open bedroom that Colin moved out of. Sarah and I then ran some errands and came back to the house and moved some of my furniture into the bigger room. So we now have an extra room if anybody knows of somebody moving to Greenville or needing a place to live in Greenville, let me know!

I'll be posting pictures soon of the new room! I've slept in it one night and really like it, just ready to get it all set up!

Let's Play Catch Up.

We've got lots to catch up on! I don't want to bore you to death and have this be super long, so I'm going to try to be short and not as descriptive!

Thursday after work, I went on the mouse hunt and I found the rest of them! However, the first one is at the Hyatt downtown, which is being redone, so he's the only one I cannot find! But when it gets relocated, I'll be sure to find it!

Not only did I have fun finding the rest of the mice, I also took lots of pictures with my Canon Rebel and got to see a beautiful sunset over Greenville! Just wait for the pictures!

I also found out that Greenville has an Italian "sister city," Bergamo, Italy. Knowing how much I love Italy, that excited me! Maybe one day I'll get to go visit the sister city! After seeing this, I had to go to try the pizza at Luna Rosa, naturally! Luna Rosa is the Italian gelato place...the pizza was amazing! It had prosciutto, and grilled chicken on a pesto base. Of course, I also had to get some gelato. I had Baileys and I don't remember what the other flavor was, it was some weird name, but it was good.

Then Friday, I went home for the weekend because dad had his surgery, which he got a gold star for being a great patient from the nurse and recovering well and my cousin Michael Ann had a tea party wedding shower on Sunday! Driving back to Gainesville for the first time was a little emotional, it is a weird feeling, like yes, that's where I'm from, but for the first time it's not really my home if you will. Didn't think it would hit me like it did! But it's only 2 hours away, so I can handle that!

I hung out with dad Friday night and then went to dinner with Suzanne, Carolyn, Joyce, and Alli at Sidebar. We then did the usually Gainesville going out scene of Recess and then to Monkey Barrel. We had a lot of fun and it was great to see everybody. When Haley got finished babysitting it was late, but she came to hang out for a bit!

Saturday morning I had to go to Christopher's to get my bridesmaid's dress fitted for Michael Ann's wedding! We walked down to Dress Up after and I got to see my friend, Sweet Melissa, see what I did there? and her beautiful engagement ring! Then got to eat at Sweet Magnolias, my favorite lunch place in Gainesville.

Saturday afternoon I spent some more time with dad and then went down to Atlanta to see Meredith! We watched the start of the Georgia game while getting ready, and then went to a friend's house to watch the end and then head out on the town with the group. We ended up  running into so many people we knew that I hadn't seen in awhile, so that was exciting!

Sunday was Michael Ann's tea party, which was SO much fun!! My aunt Lynda Ann let me wear her awesome red hat! Lynda Ann hosted the party and did a great job! She looked like she had just walked out of Buckingham Palace for a tea! It was just perfect! Being the Maid of Honor, I got to write all of Michael Ann's presents down for her, I've always secretly wanted to do that! She got some really pretty things! I can't wait until her wedding day, she's going to be such a beautiful bride.

Sunday night I drove home and got my car unloaded and ready for bed, I was worn out from the eventful weekend!!

I wanted to blog Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at work during lunch like I have been, but it has been super hectic. Not sure if y'all know, but the GoDaddy servers were attacked by "Anonymous," and GoDaddy is our host server, so Monday we were down part of the day and it's been in and out the rest of the week! I feel like I've been unproductive this week because I will be in the middle of something and then it shuts down, so we can't...I think we all could've stayed until really late tonight playing catch up!

Monday when I got home I went to run with Colin and then hung out with Colin and Sarah on the porch for awhile. We always end up having a great time together!

Tuesday night, my roommate Sarah and I went to a Bible study with her friend Riley. It is an all girls Bible study that will meet weekly. I think I will really like it. We eat dinner and socialize and then have our lesson. I think it will be a great way to meet people and way to be involved, so I am really looking forward to it.

Wednesday and my Advocare was delivered to the office, so I guess this is nearing the end of my foody adventures...I'll probably get it started next Monday, I'd rather start at the beginning of the week rather than the middle of the week. So I guess I'll get a few good meals in over the weekend before going to "food jail!" haha

Wednesday night I met my fried Rachel from Dahlonega for dinner at The Blue Ridge Brewing Company, it was a really good restaurant that makes their own beer. I had a bar-b-q sandwich and the Hurricane Hefe Weizen. The company, atmosphere, and beer were great, all around just a good night!

Thursday was crazy at work again, but we are changing servers, so hopefully it will get better! After work I decided to go walk around downtown and check out the stores. I found this great new little boutique called The Traveling Chic Boutique. They had some really cute stuff, and some really nice girls working there. Best part about it, they give you a free koozie with purchase! I ended up getting two shirts that I think will be great for fall.

I also stumbled upon Poppington's Popcorn...all they have is popcorn, all sorts of crazy flavors, flavors you'd never even think of! So I had to sample some!

Now I'm sitting outside Starbuck's blogging thinking of all the things I need to do before the weekend..laundry...unload the dishwasher...oh the joys of everyday living!
