Happy Labor Day!

I hope everybody is having a safe and great Labor Day weekend!

Let's see..I guess it's been since mid-week since I blogged. The fact we don't have wifi makes it a little difficult, but it's okay!

Tuesday for dinner I decided I would grab Mellow Mushroom to go. How it took me so long to go to Mellow, I don't know. But I have now realized the Mellow in Gainesville is the best and coolest one out there. The inside of this one was pretty cool, but they don't serve slices after a certain time! WHAT?!? So I got a small pizza and a little Caesar salad, which worked out because I took the other half of my pizza for lunch on Wednesday.

Wednesday afternoon when I got off work, I had heard there was a little gelato place downtown, since we all know I love anything and everything Italian, I had to check it out. It was AWESOME!! I got caramel latte crunch and toasted almond. My oh my was it good! Then I ran and worked off that gelato! :)

Thursday was busy at work, you can tell things are really picking up! I've started closing orders and processing everything completely by myself. So far so good, I hope. I decided to be a "Liberty local" at lunch and walk to the hot dog stand down the street, Hot Diggity Dogs. It was really good. I'm going to be healthier in my eating choices next week, so I had to get a hot dog and corn dog, fat girl problems. I gave myself a 2 week grace period for eating bad.

Thursday night, my roommate Sarah and I went over to her parents house for dinner. They don't live too far from us. We had spaghetti and salad. It was so good! She used tomatoes from her garden. I even ate the tomatoes on my salad and they were really good! Bet y'all thought I'd never say I liked a tomato!

Friday was pretty busy at work. I get off about 4 on Fridays which makes it really nice to get the weekend started early. I ran 4 miles when I got home and I am still sore and it's Sunday! Friday night Sarah and I went downtown to meet some of her friends.

Saturday morning was a little rough, I wanted a chicken biscuit so I went to Chick-fil-a...wellllll, I didn't make it for a biscuit because I got LOST on the way there! My GPS did something weird because I was supposed to get off and go up a ramp. And by the time I made it, the car in front of me had gotten the last biscuit, so a #1 it was. But it ended up being the perfect Saturday!

We went on Lake Hartwell with two of Sarah's friends. A nice relaxing day on the lake was just the perfect way to get Labor Day weekend started! This was only my second time on Lake Hartwell. It is really low like Lake Lanier was a few years ago. I also found it a little weird that at the marina they don't pump your gas...you have to do it yourself? Guess I've just been spoiled growing up on Lake Burton, which I am so fortunate to have been able to grow up around Burton. I'll have me a house on Burton one day, after I meet my gorgeous wealthy Greenville beau.

Saturday night, I watched the Clemson/Auburn game, since I'm a die-hard Clemson fan now! Go Tigers..I thought it was kind of funny one of the announcers said, "No matter what happens, the tigers will win this game," get it?! I also watched the Bama/Michigan game. Bama looks like a powerhouse again, but did we think it would be any different with Saban as head coach? I don't know if y'all know this or not, but I LOVE to watch Saban coach. I love his intensity!

And now, today is Sunday. I am currently sitting at Starbucks blogging. This morning Sarah and I went to lunch downtown at The Green Room. They have these amazing fries called parmesan truffle fries...holy moly they were good! They are cooked in truffle oil and then have parmesan on top! We had a nice little patio lunch!

After lunch, I wanted to walk across the street to the Mast General Store to find out more information about the little mouse statues I mentioned in my previous post. That is my next project. I am going to find all 9 mice! I'll keep y'all posted on my findings!

Some history on the mice can be seen in the picture of the little brochure about it. It was a local high school student's community project in 2000. There is a whole website about it too. Click the link to read more about it -- Mice on Main.

After that I dropped Sarah off at the house because she was going to run some errands with her mom. So I went to Target to get a new towel because I ran into an issue this morning that three towels wasn't cutting it. Two were in the washer and the other was dirty, so Sarah ever so sweetly let me borrow one! Then after Target, I had to go to Trader Joe's since it was right across the street.

I got 3 bottles of wine..oops, but it was $3.99, how can you pass that up?! They are all Italian wines too...remember, I LOVE everything and anything Italian! I also got some Italian Blood Orange Soda which I can't wait to taste! I'll have my own little tour of Italy right here in Greenville, South Carolina!

Welp, that's my life as of now. I am beginning to think this is becoming a food blog, because it seems like all I do is run and eat...guess that's the joys of being in a town where you don't have many friends yet!

Here's the pictures:

Mellow pizza and Caesar salad.

Mushroom and pepperoni, my fave!

The sky was so pretty on Wednesday at work.
